5 Reasons You Should Be Journaling This Season

Fall is here friends! It’s officially that time of year when you pull out your jackets in the morning, and wear your shorts by the afternoon. As we celebrate the release of our new Restorative Journal, we wanted to give you some reason why you should be journaling this season in the first place! A new season means new changes, new routines, new goals, and so much more! So here are some reasons why you should consider journaling this time of year!

  1. Journaling can reduce stress and anxiety. As someone who suffers from anxiety and stress, keeping all your thoughts and issues bottled up in your mind is not good. It’s actually very harmful. Sometimes it’s hard to get your thoughts in order to write them down, but all you need to do is write out whatever you can. Just writing out whatever thoughts that are lingering in your mind is so beneficial! It’s out of your mind and now on paper where it can be stored instead of in your brain.

  2. Journaling is a good way to track your goals and progression. It’s time to give those goals you want to achieve in the near and far future a home. Putting them in a journal is a great way to track them and keep up with the progress you’ve made! No goal is too small or too big to track. Whatever the things are that you want to accomplish, it can get done.

  3. Journaling can help with expressing gratitude. Sometimes we get so busy and caught up in our lives we forget to just appreciate the little things. When you sit down and journal it allows you to be present with yourself and reflect on the good things in your life. Remember that gratitude and grace is needed in our healing journeys.

  4. Journaling can improve your writing and communication skills. Expressing our inner thoughts to others isn’t always easy. Especially in the moment. When you journal, you’re allowed to write out your thoughts and really pour out your raw self. Making it easier to explain to someone else when you’re ready and able to. Journaling can also assist writing because of how often you’re doing it. Writing isn’t everyone's strong suit, but the more you journal, the better you’ll become at it. Practice makes perfect!

  5. Journaling can boost your confidence! When you journal, especially with positive affirmations, you are bound to get a confidence boost. Reminding yourself everyday of the amazing person you are will do wonders for your self esteem and how you frame your day. Here are some examples you can start using now!

    1. I am deserving of good things in life

    2. I am beautiful.

    3. I am going to have a good day.

    4. I am grateful for the life that I have.
