3 Ways To Prioritize Yourself This Holiday Season

It’s the most wonderful time of the year friends! These next two months are going to be filled with loved ones, good food, and just overall cheerful vibes! However, in the midst of it all we tend to lose ourselves trying to please others. Remember that you are just as important and you deserve to enjoy yourself as well! Here are some ways that you can allow time for grace and truly prioritize yourself as we enter the finish line of the year!

  1. Schedule intentional ‘me’ time! This time of year is also the busiest! Hanging out with friends and family, working, and being busy getting stuff prepared for the holidays can be exhausting at a certain point. Try and craft out some time in your schedule to spend some leisure time with yourself. You’ll thank yourself when you get those moments to just breathe and be present in the midst of chaos. 

  2. Make and organize a list of all the things you need to buy for the holidays! This time of year calls for buying the most food and gifts you’ve bought all year. Let’s be organized and make that list of everything you need now, so we won’t be too overwhelmed when the time comes. List the gifts you need to buy for people, how much they cost, the ingredients and menu items you need for events, and even where you can get those deals this season. We want to make sure we are ready and set for this time of year! 

  3. Be kind to yourself. This one seems self explanatory, but a lot of the time we’re not so kind to ourselves during hectic moments. Often blaming ourselves for things that didn’t go as planned, or even giving ourselves a hard time while trying to complete a task. You are doing your best friend! Give yourself that grace as we enter this time of year. You must help yourself before you help others.
